Marc Fredette
(Minister)

With joy we welcome the Rev. Marc S. Fredette, who begins his ministry at First Parish in Waltham on August 15, 2006. Marc most recently served as interim minister to the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Fayetteville, Arkansas. A native of New England, Marc graduated from Harvard Divinity School in 2004. Prior to pursuing ministry, Marc worked for many years as a computer programmer, training consultant, and software manager in southern New Hampshire. He says that his call to ministry grew, in part, out of his prior career experience.

Marc loves being a minister and feels the privilege that ministry entails. He has caught glimpses of what the Church can be, a vision for what religious community can mean, and has committed himself to working in its service.

Marc’s personal passions include cooking, gardening, working with wood, a love of singing, and dramatic reading. He comes to us with commitment and candor, but not without a sense of humor, levity, and simple joy.
